Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

This policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations for broadcast advertising purchases on the World Windsurfing Tour (WWT) platform. We strive to provide fair and transparent policies for our advertising partners.

Broadcast Advertising Refunds

Before Event Start

If you cancel your advertising purchase:

  • More than 14 days before event: Full refund minus a 5% processing fee
  • 7-14 days before event: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before event: No refund available

After Event Start

Once an event has begun, advertising purchases are non-refundable as ad placements are considered delivered upon broadcast.

Event Cancellation by WWT

If WWT cancels an event or broadcast for any reason:

  • Full Cancellation: You will receive a full refund or credit toward a future event of your choice
  • Partial Cancellation: Pro-rated refund based on days/rounds broadcast
  • Rescheduling: Your advertising purchase automatically transfers to the rescheduled date. If the new date doesn't work for you, you may request a refund per the standard policy

Weather & Force Majeure

Windsurfing events are weather-dependent. In case of weather-related delays or cancellations:

  • If broadcast occurs on alternative days, ads will run as scheduled
  • If event is fully cancelled due to weather, full credit or refund will be issued
  • Partial broadcast days will be credited proportionally

Technical Issues

If technical difficulties prevent your advertisement from being displayed during purchased time slots:

  • We will make reasonable efforts to display your ad in equivalent slots
  • If unable to provide equivalent placement, a pro-rated credit will be issued
  • Claims must be reported within 48 hours of the broadcast

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or cancellation:

  1. Email us at info@windsurftour.com with your order details
  2. Include your order number and the event name
  3. Specify whether you prefer a refund or credit
  4. We will process your request within 5-7 business days

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. Please note that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to post the refund to your account.

Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding a charge or refund, please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.
